Today, the Vista Fire Department supplied Tanker 4 and two Firefighters to participate in a tanker shuttle drill in New Canaan, CT. A total of 8 tankers supplied 1100 gallons per minute (gpm) consistently over a nearly 2 mile tanker shuttle loop which lasted for approximately 2 hours.
Companies in attendance ranged from South Salem (NY) to Weston (CT) to Noroton Heights (CT), giving the Vista Fire Department an opportunity to work with several Connecticut agencies we don't normally have the opportunity to drill with on a regular basis. The Vista FD would like to thank to New Canaan FD for hosting the drill and inviting us to move some water!
