The Vista Fire Department would like to congratulate Firefighter Will Pope on completing the "Accident Victim Extrication Training (AVET)" class!
"Accident Victim Extrication Training (AVET)" is a 16 hour course that "provides hands-on training in motor vehicle rescue and extrication techniques while stressing the need for scene safety and vehicle stabilization. It includes rescue theory, rescue life cycle, new technology in automotive design and rescue tools an there uses." (Westchester County Fire Training Center website)
