The Vista Fire Department is proud to announce the following Foremen taking office effective May 1, 2016 and lasting until April 30, 2017:

Foreman Mike Miller - Ambulance 22
Foreman Adam Bartley - Tanker 4

Here is some more information on our Foremen for 2016-2017:

Lead Foreman Phil Katz - Lead Foreman Katz takes over as the Lead Foreman for the upcoming fiscal year after newly appointed Lieutenant Wilmer Cervantes served in the role last year and has been with the VFD since August 2013. Lead Foreman Katz oversees the day-to-day operations for Engine 141 and also contributes to the Training Division & pre-plans operations in the VFD.

Foreman Marc Baiocco - Foreman Baiocco has been with the Vista FD since January 2015 and oversees the day-to-day operations for Rescue 13 while contributing to the VFD's Mentor Program and Recruitment & Retention operations in the VFD. Foreman Baiocco is also the Principal of Alexander Hamilton High School in Elmsford, New York.

Foreman Jake Melcher - Foreman Melcher has been with the Vista FD since July 2014 and oversees the day-to-day operations for Ambulance 25 while contributing to the EMS scheduling and EMS gear & equipment operations in the VFD. Foreman Melcher is also a volunteer in the New Canaan Volunteer Ambulance Corps. and Harwinton EMS in Harwinton, CT.

Foreman Mike Canil - Foreman Canil has been with the Vista FD since November 2014 and oversees the day-to-day operations for Engine 142 while contributing to Fire Apparatus maintenance and Hydrants Operations.

Foreman Mike Miller - Foreman Miller has been with the Vista FD since April 2015 and oversees the day-to-day operations for Ambulance 22 while contributing to the Training Division & EMS Apparatus maintenance. Foreman Miller's mother Mary has been an EMT with the Vista Fire Department since September 2011 while his brother Jerry has been with the Vista FD since August 2002.

Foreman Adam Bartley - Foreman Bartley has been with the Vista FD since May 2015 and oversees the day-to-day operations for Tanker 4, replacing newly appointed Lt. Wilmer Cervantes who was the previous Foreman. Foreman Bartley was a member with the Weston (CT) Volunteer Fire Department for nearly 20 years before joining the VFD. Foreman Barley contributes with Fire Gear & Equipment and our Hydrants Operations.

All Foremen positions are appointed by the Chief of Department.
