On Tuesday September 20th around 1700 hours, the Vista Fire Department responded to a utility pole fire on Smith Ridge Road.
Due to a electrical wire snapping and laying in the roadway, Smith Ridge Road was shut down for a little over an hour as NYSEG crews arrived and worked on the utility pole. Responding units were Engine 142, Rescue 13, Car 2561 & Car 2566.
All Vista units cleared the scene shortly after 1800 hours and transferred the scene over to NYSEG.
