This past Sunday morning we held a "Firefighter Fundamentals Class" and Driver Training for our members who are becoming Apparatus Drivers on Engine 142 & Engine 143.
This week's "Firefighter Fundamentals Class" had our Firefighters going over pre-plans in the Vista Fire District #1 as they reviewed Fire response at the Oakridge Commons area. Pre-planning is where Firefighters take notice of the construction and hazards when reviewing a building. This type of training is what will help our Firefighters who are currently attending the New York State Firefighter I program succeed in their class and for our Firefighters who have completed Firefighter I to keep up with their skills.
