This Sunday morning we held a "Motor Pump Operators & Firefighter Skills Class" for our weekly Sunday Training.
This Sunday's "Motor Pump Operators & Firefighter Skills Class" had our Firefighting personnel pumping Engine 142 while supplying 1-3/4" hose lines that were being used to practice hose line advancement operations. Prospective Engine 142 apparatus drivers supplied water to the master stream nozzle, 1-3/4" smooth bore nozzle and 1-3/4" fog nozzle during this week's training. This type of training is what will help our prospective Apparatus drivers to become cleared drivers in our Department as well as Firefighters who plan on attending the New York State Firefighter I program succeed in their class, and for our Firefighters who have completed Firefighter I to keep up with their skills.
