Did you notice the recruitment banner outside the Vista Firehouse and yard signs all throughout the Vista Fire District this week? The Vista Volunteer Fire Department is reaching out to the Vista Fire District #1 community to recruit new members to join our ranks!

Throughout New York State and across the Country, Volunteering is down in First Responder organizations, especially more so now the last 2 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. So now more than ever, Volunteer First Responders are needed!

The Vista Volunteer Fire Department is a close-knit organization that has become a second family for our members. Not only do we respond to emergencies and train together, but we also spend time building friendships through various different activities that help build bonds among our membership!

Requirements include:

— Need to be 16 years or older
— Need to live within the Vista Fire District or in a nearby bordering town
