This Sunday morning we held a "Firefighter Skills Class," an "EMT Skills Class" and Driver Training for our members who are becoming Apparatus Drivers on Engine 141 & Engine 142 for our weekly Sunday Training.

This Sunday's "Firefighter Skills Class" had our Firefighting personnel reviewing how to advance an 1-3/4" hose line off of Engine 142 and the importance of water operations during a fire scene. This type of training is what will help our Firefighters who plan on attending the New York State Firefighter I program succeed in their class and for our Firefighters who have completed Firefighter I to keep up with their skills.

This Sunday's "EMT Skills Class" had our EMS personnel conducting an overview of radio protocols in Ambulance 84B1 and how to write a prehospital care report (PCR). This type of training is what will prepare our EMT Candidates who are planning to take a future EMT Basic class succeed and for our EMTs who have completed EMT Basic to keep up with their skills.
