2020 Vista Fire Department Annual Inspection Dinner

On Saturday, December 19th, the Vista Fire Department held their 2020 Annual Inspection Dinner. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire event was held virtually on Zoom. Additionally, Active Members and District Officers who elected to have a dinner were able to pick it up "curbside" from the Vista Firehouse prior to the virtual event on Zoom. All members who won an award at the 2020 Annual Inspection Dinner were asked to return back to the Vista Firehouse at the conclusion of the event to receive their award and take their photos in honor of their achievements.

At the event Firefighter Daniel Gjodesen won the 2019-2020 Rookie of the Year award, Foreman Ryan Ruggiero won the 2019-2020 EMT of the Year award, Foreman Patrick Healy won the 2019-2020 Firefighter of the Year award, Engine 143 won the "Best Fire Apparatus" award, Ambulance 84B2 won the "Best Ambulance" award, Captain Brian Porco & Foreman Elly Hersam won the President's Award, District Manager Tom Ritchey was honored for his 40 years of service and Firefighter Martin Rojas was honored for his 20 years of service.

The Vista Fire Department Annual Inspection Dinner is the one night of the year where the Vista Fire District & Vista Fire Department honor our members for the sacrifice they give throughout the year to protect and serve the Vista Fire District community.
