This week's Monday Night Drill was "Water Rescue" for our members.
The "Water Rescue" drill had our Vista Fire Department personnel practicing several rescue techniques such as how to remove a patient from the water, how to maintain head stabilization when a patient is floating and the utilization of a backboard during a water rescue call. The Vista Fire Department conducts the water rescue drill annually to keep up with these skills due to the several bodies of water and residential pools in the Vista Fire District.
