Hoseline Advancement and Call Audit Drills for 09/30/24

This week's Monday Night Drill was a "Hoseline Advancement" drill for our Firefighters and a "Call Audit" drill for our EMTs.

The "Hoseline Advancement" drill had our Vista Firefighters reviewing how to stretch an 1-3/4" hoseline off of Engine 141 while conducting several different scenarios. As Vista Fire Department personnel practiced stretching the hoselines, our motor pump operators reviewed how they would supply the fire attack teams with water if they were operating the Engine 141 pump panel. Our Firefighters are now better prepared to properly respond to fire related incidents following the conclusion of this Monday's drill.

The "Call Audit" drill led by our Medical Director Dr. David Zuckerberg had our Vista EMS personnel reviewing their Prehospital Care Reports (PCR's) as part of our "Quality Assessment & Quality Improvement (QA/QI) Program." PCR's are the documentation of all the care and pertinent patient information that our EMT's will receive during an EMS call.
