This week's Monday Drill was conducted at the South Salem Firehouse and was led by Capt. Mike Peck as our Firefighters went through their annual Bailout training. All Interior Firefighters have to learn how to "bailout" of a structure on a yearly basis so they are properly trained on how to exit a building when a hazardous event takes place during a structure fire, building collapse, flashover, backdraft or explosion.

While several of our Firefighters participated in this bailout training drill, Vista Tanker 4 was participating in a Tanker Shuttle drill hosted by the South Salem Fire Department that included several nearby Fire Departments from both Connecticut and Westchester County, New York.

We would like the South Salem Fire Department for allowing us to use their bailout training simulator and including us in their Tanker Shuttle drill on Monday night.
