This week's Monday Night Drill was a "Ropes & Knots" drill for our Firefighters and an "EMS CME" drill for our EMTs.

The "Ropes & Knots" drill had our Vista Firefighters reviewing how to do several knots such as Figure 8, Figure 8 on a bight, Figure 8 on a bend, clove hitch, half hitch, safety knot, becket bend, sheet bend and the hasty harness. They also practiced hoisting tools and equipment using the knots they were taught.

The "EMS CME" drill had our Vista EMS personnel reviewing preparatory, airway and pharmacology for this month's CME class. The continuing medical education (CME) program helps train our Vista EMS personnel throughout the year so they can continue to serve our community at it's highest level by keeping up on several skills.
