This week's Monday Night Drill was a "Search and Rescue" drill for our Firefighters and an "ePCR System Overview" drill for our EMTs.

The "Search and Rescue" drill had our Vista Firefighters reviewing search & rescue techniques followed by several evolutions where search & rescue skills were necessary in a residential structure fire setting. This type of training helped our Firefighters better prepare themselves for the challenges they may face in a structure fire atmosphere when they may need to exit a building or conduct various tasks such as a search & rescue.

The "ePCR System Overview" drill had our Vista EMS personnel going over how to use the ePCR system on the new apparatus laptops. Vista EMS personnel received an introductory over and practiced filling out an ePCR on the new system. This was another step forward for our Vista EMTs as we continue the process of going "live" with these new laptops in the coming months.
