| The Vista Fire Department is proud to announce the following Foremen taking office effective May 1, 2022 and lasting until April 30, 2023 after being appointed by Chief Jeff Peck for this upcoming fiscal year:

Foreman Eleanor Hersam - Engine 142
Foreman Patrick Healy - Engine 143
Foreman Brian Sferra - Tanker 4
Foreman Ryan Ruggiero - Ambulance 22
Foreman Leslie Smith - Ambulance 25

Here is some information on the Vista Fire Department Foremen for this upcoming fiscal year:
Lead Foreman Dan Castelhano - Lead Foreman Castelhano has been with the Vista FD since May 2016, winning the VFD Rookie of the Year award in 2017-2018, the VFD Firefighter of the Year award in 2018-2019 and oversees the day-to-day operations for Engine 141. Lead Foreman Castelhano has been a Foreman in the Vista Fire Department since September 2017.
Foreman Eleanor Hersam - Foreman Hersam has been with the Vista FD since August 2017, winning the VFD Rookie of the Year award in 2018-2019, the VFD EMT of the Year award in 2020-2021 and oversees the day-to-day operations for Engine 142. Foreman Hersam has been a Foreman in the Vista Fire Department since May 2020.
Foreman Patrick Healy - Foreman Healy has been with the Vista FD since September 2016, winning the VFD Firefighter of the Year award in 2019-2020 and oversees the day-to-day operations for Engine 143. Foreman Healy has been a Foreman in the Vista Fire Department since December 2018.
Foreman Brian Sferra - Foreman Sferra has been with the Vista FD since December 2019 and oversees the day-to-day operations for Tanker 4. Foreman Sferra has been a Foreman in the Vista Fire Department since May 2021.
Foreman Ryan Ruggiero - Foreman Ruggiero has been with the Vista FD since November 2015, winning the VFD Rookie of the Year award in 2016-2017, the VFD Firefighter of the Year award in 2017-2018, the VFD EMT of the Year award in 2019-2020 and oversees the day-to-day operations for Ambulance 22. Foreman Ruggiero has been a Foreman in the Vista Fire Department since May 2020.
Foreman Leslie Smith - Foreman Smith has been with the Vista FD since August 2002, winning the VFD EMT of the Year award in 2005-2006 and oversees the day-to-day operations for Ambulance 25. Foreman Smith begins her 1st year as a Foreman in the Vista Fire Department.
