The Vista Fire Department would like to congratulate FF/EMT Benjamin Bo on completing his probationary period in the Department through the VFD Mentor Program!

Since joining the Vista Fire Department, FF/EMT Benjamin Bo has been cleared as a riding EMT and is in the process of participating in our Firefighter Skills Class program to help prepare him to take a Firefighter I course. FF/EMT Benjamin Bo actively participates during calls & drills and has been mentored throughout his probationary period by Foreman Ryan Ruggiero.

The Vista Fire Department mentor program is a process where new members are paired up with a senior member to help guide them through their probationary period in the Department. This program was developed to help transition new members into the Department by understanding call response, attending weekly Monday drills and preparing them for classes they may be taking in their first year with the Department.
