Vista FD attends Somers Fire Department MCI Drill for 10/06/24

This past Sunday several of our members participated in a mass casualty incident (MCI) training courtesy of the Somers Fire Department.
The MCI training had our Vista EMS personnel, along with Ambulance 84B2, participate in a school bus versus passenger vehicle motor vehicle accident (MVA) at the old IBM Property at 294 Route 100 in Somers. A mass casualty incident (MCI) is described as an emergency incident where the number of patients exceeds the local resources and capabilities in a short amount of time causing mutual aid companies to be utilized. Agencies from Westchester and Putnam County participated in the event working together throughout the duration of the "incident." We would like to thank the Somers Fire Department for organizing this training and inviting us to participate!
