The Vista Fire Department is proud to congratulate Firefighter Dan Hochman on successfully completing his probationary period through the VFD Mentor Program!
Since joining the department, Firefighter Hochman has achieved several milestones, including becoming a certified driver on our ambulances. He is currently in the process of being cleared to operate Engine 142 and is preparing for the upcoming Firefighter 1 course, which will help him progress toward becoming an Interior Firefighter. Firefighter Hochman is also an active participant in both calls and training drills and has been mentored by EMT Grant Vialardi throughout his probation.
The Vista Fire Department Mentor Program pairs new recruits with experienced members to guide them through their initial period of service. This program provides critical support as new members familiarize themselves with call response protocols, attend weekly Monday drills, and prepare for relevant coursework in their first year with the department.
The Vista Volunteer Fire Department is looking for new members! For more information on how to become a member, call (914)-533-2727, email us at Info@VistaFD.org, visit https://www.vistafd.org/content/become/, or apply online here: https://www.vistafd.org/apply. |
