| On July 8, 1941, the Vista Fire Department was established with a commitment to protect and serve our community. Today, we proudly celebrate 85 years of service and honor the generations of dedicated volunteers who have answered the call since our very beginning.
From the apparatus and firehouse of years past to the Fire & EMS service we provide today, our Department has continued to grow, evolve, and meet the changing needs of our community. While the equipment, technology, and challenges have changed, one thing has remained constant: the dedication of our members to being there when our neighbors need us most.
As we celebrate this milestone, we remember those who built the foundation before us, recognize the members who carry our mission forward today, and look ahead to the generations who will continue this proud tradition.
To every member—past and present—to our families who support us, our neighboring emergency services partners, and the community that has stood behind us for 85 years: thank you.
