The Vista Fire Department is proud to congratulate Firefighter Dan Hochman on successfully completing his probationary period through the VFD Mentor Program!

This week's Monday Night Drill was an "OSHA Class" drill for our members.
The annual OSHA class covered essential topics such as safe response protocols, SCBA maintenance checks, hazardous materials operations, and other crucial skills that first responders must review each year to stay up-to-date and safe.

Sunday Training for 01/12/25

This Sunday morning, we hosted a "Firefighter Skills Class" as part of our weekly Sunday Training.
The "Firefighter Skills Class" focused on preparing our personnel for the New York State Firefighter I and Basic Exterior Firefighting Operations (BEFO) courses. Sunday Training for 01/05/25

This Sunday morning, we held Driver Training for members working towards becoming Apparatus Drivers on Engine 141.
The Driver Training program is how Vista Fire Department personnel are trained and cleared to operate Fire and EMS apparatus.
